Is BOQBuddy free?
Yes, BOQBuddy is free to use during our launch period, including finalising and downloading quotations. Try it as a guest, or create a free account to save your clients, rate library and letterhead to your account.
Where is my work saved?
With a free account, your quotations, clients, rate library and company details are saved to your account and available on every device you sign in to. As a guest, work is saved in the browser on that device only.
Can I use my own items and rates?
Yes. You start with our ready library of 175+ items. In Master Data you can edit any rate or specification and add your own items. The builder uses your library for every new quotation.
Does it handle GST and discounts?
You can quote with or without GST, set your own GST rate, and apply a percentage or fixed discount. Amount in words is added automatically.
Can my client get it in Excel?
Yes. Every quotation can be downloaded as a PDF for sending and as an Excel file for clients or purchase teams who want to compare line by line.
Can I enter sizes in feet?
Yes. Choose feet, metres or mm above the table. In feet you can type sizes the way they’re written on site, like 10'6" — quantities in sq.ft and r.ft are worked out for you.
Does it work on my phone and on site?
Yes. It works in your phone’s browser and keeps working without internet once opened. Your changes sync to your account when you’re back online. In Chrome, tap ⋮ → Install app to add it to your home screen.
Can I use it for commercial projects?
Yes. Choose Commercial as the project type and you start with office rooms like reception, work area, cabins, meeting room and pantry. Rename or add rooms as you need.
