Using BOQBuddy

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract under Indian law.
• BOQBuddy is meant for professional use by interior contractors, designers, architects and similar businesses.
• You can use it as a guest, where work stays in your browser, or with a free account, where work is saved to your account.

Your account

• Give accurate details and keep your email address up to date. We use it for sign-in and important notices.
• Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.

Your content

• You own your content: quotations, client details, rate libraries, logos, terms and everything else you enter or upload.
• To run BOQBuddy, you allow us to store, process, copy and display your content only as needed to provide the service to you, for example to sync it between your devices and to create your PDFs and Excel files.
• Only enter or upload content you have the right to use, including your clients’ personal information. Don’t upload anything unlawful, misleading or that infringes others’ rights.

Rates, calculations and your quotations

• BOQBuddy calculates quantities and totals from the sizes, units and rates you enter. The standard rate library is a starting point only. Rates differ by city, brand, specification and time.
• You are responsible for checking every quantity, rate, specification, tax (including GST) and total, and for the quotations you send and the contracts you agree with your clients.
• BOQBuddy is a software tool. It doesn’t give engineering, legal, tax or financial advice.

Acceptable use

Please don’t:

• break the law or help others to do so using BOQBuddy;
• try to access other users’ data, or get around limits or security measures;
• copy, scrape, resell or reverse-engineer the service or its standard rate library, except as the law allows;
• overload or disrupt the service, or upload viruses or harmful code.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Free launch and paid features

• BOQBuddy is currently free to use, including finalising and downloading quotations.
• We may introduce paid features later, for example coins used when a quotation is finalised. Before you pay anything, the price and what it includes will be clearly shown. Quotations you have already finalised will remain available to you.
• If paid features are offered, payments are processed by Razorpay. Prices will include GST unless stated otherwise. Purchased coins have no cash value, can’t be transferred, and are non-refundable except where a payment failed, was charged twice, or where the law requires a refund. For payment problems, contact us within 7 days.

Availability and backups

• We work hard to keep BOQBuddy available and your data safe, but we can’t promise the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
• Keep your own copies of important quotations, for example by downloading PDFs and Excel files or using Settings → Download backup. As a guest, your work exists only in your browser and is lost if you clear your browser data.
• We may change, improve or remove features over time. If we ever plan to close BOQBuddy, we’ll give account holders reasonable notice so they can download their data.

Closing your account

• You can stop using BOQBuddy and delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete my account and data. Deletion is permanent.
• We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where the law requires us to. Where reasonable, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to download your data.

Limits of our responsibility

• BOQBuddy is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don’t give warranties about it being fit for a particular purpose or free of errors.
• To the extent the law allows, we aren’t responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost contracts or business interruption, or for losses caused by errors in quantities, rates or quotations you prepare.
• Our total responsibility for any claim relating to BOQBuddy is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000 if you haven’t paid anything.
• Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that cannot be limited under Indian law.

Your responsibility to us

If someone makes a claim against us because of content you entered or uploaded, or because you broke these terms or the law, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that result.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern. Otherwise, the courts at Pune, Maharashtra will have jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll change the date at the top and tell account holders about significant changes by email or in the app. If you keep using BOQBuddy after a change, the updated terms apply.
